MY CLASS PROPHECY

One beautiful morning, in the wonderful land of Florida. As I wake up and look at the smiling face of Mr. Sun. staring at me happily. I felt very warm and comfortable. When I look at the calendar it is almost year 2022. I remember the old days with my classmates in high school, the happy moments and bonding we’ve shared together. How I wished, time could back it again. As I look at the newspaper, I saw myself as the top 2 most richest and popular person in the world. I was thankful to God and glad for myself because of the achievement and success that came to my life. When I look at the clock it is almost time for my appointment, so, I hurriedly rushed to my bed and get my Hermes bag. I am the owner and the CEO of the World Bank; I almost have 300 branches nationwide. As I walked outside the house I forgot that my driver is on leave. So, I decided to drive with my own tramzam but I was unlucky because there is no more gas. That’s why I decided to walk on the street and wait for a taxi.
As I walked into the street, something came into my mind. “What would be the professions, jobs and positions of my classmates in high school?” I kept on thinking until I see a big billboard of a attractive, elegant, sexy and far-fetched model. That girl seems familiar to me, I was shocked, and I can’t believe that it is Nicole. Nicole now, is the sexiest and beautiful model of all in Hollywood! I was amaze for the changes and success in Nicole’s life. When I saw a taxi, I took a ride on it. I kept on chitchat with the driver and I accidentally asked who the owner of their Taxi’s Company is. Then, he said to me that the owner of their Taxi’s Company was Kevin Marquezo and they have 50 branches nationwide. “Wow!” I was murmuring to myself and said, “Ibang-iba na talaga ang mga kaklase ko noon. Ang laki na ng ipinagbago nila.”
When I arrived to my own company, I hurriedly rushed to the board room. While presenting, I saw two familiar faces in one of my investors. My Gosh! It was Farah and Natasha. Farah now is also a popular director at the same time as a ophthalmologist. While, Natasha is now a professional cardiologist in Illinois. After the presentation, I went to my office and tuned on the television. I’ve been watching plingming and it was the game of Miami Heat and OKC. I saw two handsome faces and when the cameras focus on their face, I saw Carlito playing with the OKC while in the team of Miami I saw John Lloyd. Both of them now are a professional basketball player and the MVP of their team’s. After watching I turned off the TV. I was seriously thinking of something. Suddenly, my phone is ringing; an unknown number appeared in my phone’s screen. I answered it. It was Aiza. Aiza now has owned the richest jewelry company in the whole world. She told me about their planned to have a together party as well reunion exclusively for the pioneering batch of SSC.
After hearing that, I went to a salon to have a makeover. Julius is the owner of that salon and he has now a 5 branches in Florida. I was encouraged to talk with Julius but it seems I have lots of important things to do. I went to a fashion designer to make her an elegant gown as a gift for my mom in the Philippines. I was speechless when I saw Kimberly. Kimberly was the famous and richest fashion designer in the world. I see Rowelalyn, fitting a gown. Rowelalyn now is a professional actress and has been nominated as a best actress in the Oscar Award. I was very proud of Ging2x because of her achievement in the industry of showbiz. When I go out I see some media taking pictures with a handsome man and a gorgeous woman. It was Bohner and Reilren! Bohner now is the prime minister in the Luxembourg together with her ambassador Reilren.
On the next day, I went to an exhibit. I saw lots of beautiful paintings. One painting caught my eyes. That painting was owned by the popular painter and it was Kathryne. As I go out I saw a big billboard. I saw the candidate of America’s Next Top Model. I saw Marialin and Via. I was shocked but I’m very proud of them. After that, I was very hungry it’s almost 12:00 o’clock. I went to a restaurant; the owner of that restaurant is Erica. She has now 100 outlets nationwide. And when my tummy is full, I see a gorgeous lady approaching me. Oh! It was Cieny. Cieny is now an architect and she is the one who will sketch our building in New York. Cieny and I had a short conversation about the sketch that she made. I was impressed and I appreciate her work so much. After the conversation, Cieny left me alone. As I looked behind, I saw two women talking seriously. Maybe, about their business. But those two women are very familiar to me. Yeah! It is Enrika and Grace. Enrika and Grace is partner in business. Their business is all about wine. They’ve now had 150 outlets nationwide. As I left the restaurant, I went to a bakeshop and buy some bread. I was shocked when somebody called my name. It was Dannica; she is the owner of that bakeshop at the same time a private doctor in Florida. She has now a 95 outlets in and out in the country.
During Sunday, I went to church to attend the mass. I was surprised when I saw the abbess of this abbey. Great! It was Rose Ann. When the mass is ended, I went home to have some rest. In preparing myself for going home to my homeland, Southern Leyte.
As I went to the airport. I saw a familiar face of a stewardess. It was Dinessa. Of the entire stewardess, Dinessa was the dazzling and most beautiful of all. As the plane start to arrived. Louie was the pilot of the airplane. As the plane arrived to the Cabalian Airport saw a billboard that announces about the up-coming concert of that particular group that would held in the Cabalian Coliseum. Their group was named Newest Girls Generation. The members of that particular group are Teodoro, the most famous dancer and dance instructor, Clydel, Irine, Jociebby and Lilian. I could believe the changes that happened in Cabalian now. The town before is now a city. Cabalian improved well. There are now big, huge and tall buildings, malls and other buildings built.
As I visit the branch and enter, I saw Shaira withdrawing money. Shaira now is a professional policewoman in Cabalian. Also, I see Princess. Princess now is a professional interior designer. My local business partner in Cabalian is John Lawrence. He is now a model at the same time as a private lawyer. And also Judy Ann now is a private lawyer.
As the day past, the party and reunion was finally happened. All of them are happy because of their professions in life now. All of us enjoyed the party and have some bonding2x together and of course, we kept on chitchat with each other. The venue was located in the PNOC fladder. All of us agreed that there would be a next party as well as reunion. After the party we go home brought a big smile in our face.

Parts of a Computer and it's Functions

If you use a desktop computer, you might already know that there isn't any single part called the "computer." A computer is really a system of many parts working together. The physical parts, which you can see and touch, are collectively called hardware. (Software, on the other hand, refers to the instructions, or programs, that tell the hardware what to do.)
The illustration below shows the most common hardware in a desktop computer system. Your system may look a little different, but it probably has most of these parts. A laptop computer has similar parts but combines them into a single notebook-sized package.

Let's take a look at each of these parts.

System unit

The system unit is the core of a computer system. Usually it's a rectangular box placed on or underneath your desk. Inside this box are many electronic components that process information. The most important of these components is the central processing unit (CPU), or microprocessor, which acts as the "brain" of your computer. Another component israndom access memory (RAM), which temporarily stores information that the CPU uses while the computer is on. The information stored in RAM is erased when the computer is turned off.
Almost every other part of your computer connects to the system unit using cables. The cables plug into specific ports (openings), typically on the back of the system unit. Hardware that is not part of the system unit is sometimes called a peripheral device ordevice.

Storage

Your computer has one or more disk drives—devices that store information on a metal or plastic disk. The disk preserves the information even when your computer is turned off.

Hard disk drive

Your computer's hard disk drive stores information on a hard disk, a rigid platter or stack of platters with a magnetic surface. Because hard disks can hold massive amounts of information, they usually serve as your computer's primary means of storage, holding almost all of your programs and files. The hard disk drive is normally located inside the system unit.

CD and DVD drives

Nearly all computers today come equipped with a CD or DVD drive, usually located on the front of the system unit. CD drives use lasers to read (retrieve) data from a CD, and many CD drives can also write (record) data onto CDs. If you have a recordable disk drive, you can store copies of your files on blank CDs. You can also use a CD drive to play music CDs on your computer.
Picture of a CDCD
DVD drives can do everything that CD drives can, plus read DVDs. If you have a DVD drive, you can watch movies on your computer. Many DVD drives can record data onto blank DVDs.
Tip

Tip

If you have a recordable CD or DVD drive, periodically back up (copy) your important files to CDs or DVDs. That way, if your hard disk ever fails, you won't lose your data.

Floppy disk drive

Floppy disk drives store information on floppy disks, also called floppies or diskettes. Compared to CDs and DVDs, floppy disks can store only a small amount of data. They also retrieve information more slowly and are more prone to damage. For these reasons, floppy disk drives are less popular than they used to be, although some computers still include them.
Picture of a floppy diskFloppy disk
Why are floppy disks "floppy"? Even though the outside is made of hard plastic, that's just the sleeve. The disk inside is made of a thin, flexible vinyl material.

Mouse

A mouse is a small device used to point to and select items on your computer screen. Although mice come in many shapes, the typical mouse does look a bit like an actual mouse. It's small, oblong, and connected to the system unit by a long wire that resembles a tail. Some newer mice are wireless.
Picture of a computer mouseMouse
A mouse usually has two buttons: a primary button (usually the left button) and a secondary button. Many mice also have a wheel between the two buttons, which allows you to scroll smoothly through screens of information.
Picture of mouse pointers
When you move the mouse with your hand, a pointer on your screen moves in the same direction. (The pointer's appearance might change depending on where it's positioned on your screen.) When you want to select an item, you point to the item and then click (press and release) the primary button. Pointing and clicking with your mouse is the main way to interact with your computer. For more information, see Using your mouse.

Keyboard

A keyboard is used mainly for typing text into your computer. Like the keyboard on a typewriter, it has keys for letters and numbers, but it also has special keys:
  • The function keys, found on the top row, perform different functions depending on where they are used.
  • The numeric keypad, located on the right side of most keyboards, allows you to enter numbers quickly.
  • The navigation keys, such as the arrow keys, allow you to move your position within a document or webpage.

You can also use your keyboard to perform many of the same tasks you can perform with a mouse. For more information, see Using your keyboard.

Monitor

A monitor displays information in visual form, using text and graphics. The portion of the monitor that displays the information is called the screen. Like a television screen, a computer screen can show still or moving pictures.
There are two basic types of monitors: CRT (cathode ray tube) monitors and LCD (liquid crystal display) monitors. Both types produce sharp images, but LCD monitors have the advantage of being much thinner and lighter. CRT monitors, however, are generally more affordable.

Printer

A printer transfers data from a computer onto paper. You don't need a printer to use your computer, but having one allows you to print e‑mail, cards, invitations, announcements, and other materials. Many people also like being able to print their own photos at home.
The two main types of printers are inkjet printers and laser printers. Inkjet printers are the most popular printers for the home. They can print in black and white or in full color and can produce high-quality photographs when used with special paper. Laser printers are faster and generally better able to handle heavy use.

Speakers

Speakers are used to play sound. They may be built into the system unit or connected with cables. Speakers allow you to listen to music and hear sound effects from your computer.

Modem

To connect your computer to the Internet, you need a modem. A modem is a device that sends and receives computer information over a telephone line or high-speed cable. Modems are sometimes built into the system unit, but higher-speed modems are usually separate components.
